Social connectedness and sense of belonging to a group or a community are basic human needs! At the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, we intentionally aim to increase our stakeholders' — students, faculty, staff and alumni integration by creating positive and productive environments, fostering collaboration and innovation, and thriving towards long-term success in a wide range of contexts.
Our students, faculty, staff and alumni represent the heart and give the identity of our college. We have engaged in reshaping our institutional priorities to optimize the experiences and support we provide to our stakeholders, to engage with purpose and define meaningful impact.
The Engagement Initiative creates programs and assembles resources to provide students, faculty, staff and alumni of the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources with authentic opportunities for community integration, beyond the experiences associated with their own degrees. We strive for intentional and positive impact in dynamic learning environments — benefiting our stakeholders' personal and academic growth and to contribute to our College and land-grant institution.
